It’s a pleasure to visit with our representative, who is knowledgeable, helpful, personable and no- pressure. Since I have known him for 15+ years, we have discovered mutual interests in travel, our families and acquaintances. Our “catching up” makes me feel like part of the SEBCO family. What a wonderful way to treat customers! Thank you.” --Katie Hanson, Library Director and the 2009 Wisconsin Librarian of the Year, Graham Public Library, Union Grove, WI
"I just wanted to let you know that I received the books today. Everything is great!! I had 2 kids check out 2 books as I took them out of the box- I used the barcodes as temporary titles since I hadn’t even imputed the Marc records yet. Their enthusiasm was wonderful. Thank you, everything is perfect." Your grateful friend, Mary, Monroe County School Librarian

 "Thank you to Friendly Library"
"We are long-time customers of Sebco Books - Paul brings us an excellent selection of recent nonfiction and always follows up if we are looking for certain types of material. We recently did a major weeding of our nonfiction collection and were interested to find that many of the titles that we decided to keep were Sebco titles. They cover the areas our patrons are most interested in and come in attractive and durable formats. Thank you for your excellent customer service." --Mary Baker-Wood, Director, Richard Sugden Library, Spencer, MA
"Just a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate Paul and Sebco Books. I meet with Paul twice a year and he always brings such fresh and intriguing titles with him. He makes sure that I never order anything twice (I have been known to do so) and is always accommodating to my sometimes crazy schedule. Our library recently suffered some budget cuts, but I made sure that I kept funding for Sebco Books since they are very popular with our patrons. I have received many, many compliments since switching over to Sebco Books a couple of years back and I find the selections right on target for what our patrons are looking for. Thank you for providing us with a great service! --Amy L. Sadkin, Director, Lunenburg Public Library, Lunenburg, MA
"Paul really is top notch regarding book reps. We met him at the NHLA Conference a year or so ago, and he has always been the utmost of professional, polite, non-pressuring, efficient, and God bless him, extremely patient as I go through the selections. When things slow down here in the Children's Room, I would be happy to add something to your testimonial page...but definitely without the picture! Thanks again for taking the time to respond. I'm definitely sold on Sebco. :)" --Jane McCue, Nesmith Library, Windham, NH
"Thank you. I am not counting the days yet, [until retirement] but I am truly ready. Good luck to you, too. You are a terrific sales rep to work with." --Linda Jug, PCS-Midlakes High School, Clifton Springs, NY
"Hello, Our library has been an annual customer of yours for at least 8 years. I feel that it's high time to commend the hard work, professionalism and friendliness of your sales rep, Claudio. As Collection Development Librarian, I deal with dozens of vendors every year, but Claudio is the only one I look forward to hearing from! He is always punctual, accommodating and extremely personable. His concern for our needs is unparalleled, setting him apart from any other company's rep that I deal with. I cannot imagine how any company could have a better representative than you have in Claudio. Please forward my compliments to the sales department administration, and make sure that they know that I have never before in my 11 years on the job felt so compelled to write such a commendation." All best, Rick Squires, Collection Development Librarian, Monroe Community College, Rochester, NY
"Hello, my name is Vanesa Collier and I work for Cato-Meridian Central School District in the Middle School Library. I would like to tell about my experience with the SEBCO Book Company. I was placed in the position of library aide about three years ago. As a newcomer to the library, I knew nothing about how to run a library, how it worked or what books to order. The High School Librarian Sue Cutri recommended that I meet with the salesman from SEBCO Books, Claudio. Claudio set up a time to meet and asked me to write down book titles that teachers and students requested. He also asked for titles that would assist students in their classroom research. Claudio was very understanding and patient. (He also brought me donuts!) He showed me how to access the SEBCO website, brought in books for me to look at and was very helpful to me with my book selections. The website is a great way to start my book selection for the next school year. SEBCO Books have been my main source of books for the years I have been in the library. Any problems I have had with any book were quickly fixed. I would like to thank Claudio for all his help from the beginning, to now, and in the future. “ --Vanesa Collier, Cato-Meridian Middle School, NY
"What all started with a quick phone call from Claudio has turned into a four year partnership that makes my book ordering process a joy! I first met Claudio four years ago when working at Boynton Middle School in Ithaca, NY. I was new to the district as well as school libraries. Trying to field calls from book vendors can be a daunting task….sometimes they are long winded and you just don’t have the time, sometimes they are too pushy and you just don’t want to work with them, some just hand you catalogs with post-it notes everywhere and never show you a book. Claudio however, contacted me said he was going to be in the area and could he stop by to meet me. He was socially friendly and open as well as helpful. He not only assisted me in the process of ordering books but was a great source of information on the ebb and flow of the Ithaca City School District. I loved that when he came to visit, not only did he bring my clerk and I treats, but he also brought genre related books that I needed for my collection. His knowledge of available titles is vast and if by chance I stumped him, he would find out the answer in a timely manner. I have met up with him at various conferences including NYLA, and Superintendent’s Day workshops. We continually speak throughout the year just so that we are on the same page when it comes to my library’s collection needs. When I recently moved back to Rochester, NY this past August, one of my first phone calls was to Claudio to let him know that I had left Ithaca. I now work at the 7-12 Franklin Educational Campus in Rochester, NY and was thrilled that this is still part of his territory. He has already visited with me and has continued his excellent service. Claudio makes my life a whole lot easier and is a pleasure to work with. It is with great confidence that I write this letter to commend Claudio." --Melissa Carnevale, Franklin Educational Campus, Rochester, NY
"I have truly enjoyed all of my experiences with SEBCO Books and my sales representative, Bruce. As the coordinator of libraries for my district, I have recommended that other librarians order books with SEBCO too. The books are of a very high quality and our students are always eager to check them out. I like being able to see the layout of the pictures and printing and ordering is fast and easy with the assistance of the sales representative. Thank you Bruce and everyone at SEBCO Books for the great ordering experiences." --Brooke Huebner, Library Coordinator, Eagleville Elementary School, Norristown, PA
"It is my pleasure to tell you how much I've appreciated the work relationship I have had with Paul MacInnis over the years. First, he always has an excellent selection of materials to show. He is pleasant and knowledgeable, makes insightful comments about the selections he carries, but never pushes to make a sale. Personally, I find Paul to be a polite and thoughtful man whom I enjoy seeing. A year ago summer he brought me some strawberry preserves that his wife had made. I gave them to my ailing Dad, who enjoyed them tremendously. After our appointments, he always writes a note of thanks. Paul's way of doing business is a throwback to a more gracious time. I am always pleased with the Sebco selections that I've bought for the library. I will be retiring from the library this week after 30 years, and I wanted to go on record as saying that I have been quite satisfied with Sebco books and your excellent salesman Paul MacInnis." --Susan J. Stanovich, Library Director, Uxbridge Library, Uxbridge, MA
"I just wanted to write a few lines about my Sebco representative. Bruce has been visiting me for the last 4 years and I have exclusively bought my non-fiction collection from him. I like his friendly, non pushy manner and enjoy spending time with him during the preview experience. It helps that Bruce is a former principal and understands the workings of a school and its budget. If I have a problem and contact Bruce, I know he will not push it off on someone else. He takes the time to personally handle it and that is very much appreciated. In a time when librarians are inundated with phone calls and representatives trying to get in the door, Bruce is one of the very few I actually set aside time in my schedule to see." --Christine Roberts, Hillsdale Library, Hillsdale, PA
"As a branch manager of a small town library, I prefer to see what our budget dollars are purchasing. When I see Ron of SEBCO coming up the walk with a load of new titles I know I will not be disappointed. Ron's presentation is very courteous, friendly and professional. He consistently provides many of the titles my young patrons are requesting and the lion's share of my juvenile budget ends up with SEBCO. Thanks for the great service and quality books!" --Sharon Cleveland, Cedartown Public Library, Cedartown, GA
